Dinos land first recruit

Okotoks running back joins CWUAA team’s 2015 class

Brenden Hansen will suit up for his local CIS team.

This past week, the 5’9, 180 pound running back from Okotoks, Alberta signed with the Calgary Dinos. Hansen will join the Dinos for the 2015 CWUAA season.

Ultimately, Hansen chose the Dinos because he felt it was the best place for him to reach his potential on and off the field. Moreover, he would like to continue a tradition of excellence which has been set by past and present players.

“I committed to the University of Calgary because I know that the players and coaches will bring me to my highest academic and athletic ability,” commented Hansen of his decision.  “It’s a dream come true to have the opportunity to join the Dinos on their chase for the Vanier.”

“I hope to live up to the legacy of current pros and former Dinos; Matt Walter (Calgary Stampeders), Steven Lumbala (Montreal Alouettes) and Anthony Woodson (Toronto Argos). I couldn’t be happier to be welcomed into this organization and hope to make an impact as strong as others have before me.”
