CEGEP linebacker open to options.

There is one season that Vieux-Montreal Spartiates linebacker Enock Makonzo will never forget.

Enock Makonzo 1

Enock has played for his high school team, Dalbe-Viau Aigles D’Or.  During his time with the Aigles D’Or, the defensive standout received numerous honours including Best Special Team Player, Defensive Player of the Year and MVP.

Moreover, he experienced the highlights of his career with his high school team.

“When I was in grade eight, we won the every single game until the end  when we won the Bol D’Or and that is something I will never forget,” recalls Enock.

Currently, Enock is suiting up for CEGEP Division 1 team, Vieux-Montreal Spartiates.  During his CEGEP recruitment process, he was high in demand but enjoyed the attention on him.

“A lot of coaches from different teams talked to me,” reflects Enock.  “It was exciting each time it happened because it was made me feel like somebody really wanted me.”

“I had many invitations and it was great.”

In football, there have been several coaches who have been gridiron influences to the Spartiates defensive standout.  Moreover, his family have supported and inspired him into becoming a better player and person.

As for future plans, the Spartiates linebacker would like to continue his gridiron journey as far as it will take him.  In addition to that, his career aspiration is to be a psychologist.

“I’m determined to achieve my dream and be the best in everything I do,” adds Enock.

Overall, the game has given Enock the recipe for success on the field and in all his life endeavours.

“I learned that everything you do in life you will do the same on the field and the way you act is going to be the way you play,” says Enock.  “I learned that if you want to be a better football player, you have to be a better person in life first.”
