Ethier returns as offensive coordinator of Vanier Cup champions

Jacques Tanguay & Gilles D’Amboise, of the Rouge et Or football club, and head coach Glen Constantin, are pleased to announce the official return of offensive coordinator Justin Ethier . Ehtier was interim offensive coordinator since September 13.

Recognized by his peers as one of the best offensive strategists in the CIS, Justin Ethier has more than one trick up his sleeve to penetrate the opponent’s defense. Meticulous in his preparation, no detail escapes him and he makes room for improvisation when necessary.

Leading the Offense of the Rouge et Or between 2001 and 2009, Justin has developed a game system that has made the Laval attack one of the most feared in the country. The balance that has developed between the ground and air game was essential to him. Five Vanier Cup victories in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008 and most recently in 2012 showed his value.Β  Ethier left his position with the coaching staff of the Rouge et Or in January 2010 for personal reasons. He made a return on an interim basis in September 2012 to complete the season following the departure of his predecessor John Duane.

Justin Ethier has been part of the Rouge et Or’s family since 1997. He assumed the position of special teams coordinator from 1998 to 2000. Before that time he coached with the Trappeurs du CΓ©gep Marie-Victorin and the Spartiates du CΓ©gep du Vieux MontrΓ©al . With these teams, he won the Bol d’Or in 1996, his only season as offensive coordinator of the team.
