Calgary defensive standout joins CWUAA team’s 2014 class.
Conrad David has found the perfect combination.
The 5β10, 183 pound middle linebacker/defensive tackle from Calgary, Alberta will be playing CIS football in his home province.Β David recently committed to the University of Alberta Golden Bears for the 2014 CWUAA season.
βI chose the University of Alberta because it sets up for an excellent mix of academics and athletics,β explained David of his decision.Β βAlso, this era of Golden Bears football is very exciting and Iβm happy to be a part of it.β
βI also enjoyed the atmosphere that I experienced at the previous skill camps. Other factors that contributed to my decision were that many of my past teammates and other players I know from Calgary are on the Golden Bears and my parents are both University of Alberta alumni.β
The Alberta defensive standout played for the St. Francis Browns of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA).Β Β During his time there, David was selected as a Calgary Division 1 All-Star at the linebacker position and served as defensive captain.
Additionally, David played for the Calgary Mavericks of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA) where he was a defensive captain.
