Austin’s career started at the age of seven with the Calgary Cowboys.  He still plays for the organization at the age of 16.

With the Cowboys, he won a Leadership Award in 2010. While on their midget team, he has been previously awarded both Rookie of the Year and Co-Defensive MVP honours.

With his other team, the St. Francis Browns of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA), he was named the team’s Linebacker of the Year.

Overall, the 2015 season was a special one for the Browns’ standout.

“The highlight of last year was the whole season with my teammates,” says Austin.

To improve for this upcoming fall season the Browns’ standout will work on speed training.  Austin’s plan for the summer is to train and work hard.

While the Browns’ standout has no current plans to tour universities, he says the recruitment process has not been bad thus far.

“Whoever sees me, sees me,” adds Austin who hopes to play for the Calgary Colts of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).
In the future he either hopes to be a personal trainer or a coach.  Moreover, he hopes to play professional football at either the CFL or NFL level.

When it comes to life and the sport everyone is an inspiration to Austin, including friends, family, teammates, coaches and the players from the other teams.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
