A man of many talents and an extensive football IQ, Guebert will make two presentations, the first on β€œ6 A Side football” in addition to one on β€œWhat is age appropriate in Developmental Football Skills”.

Guebert utilized his extensive football background as a master’s student in education when writing his thesis on 6 A Side football in which he researched and designed a 6 A Side curriculum. Brian’s research included aspects relating to age specific movements and Long Term Athlete Development planning. This 6 A Side expert was also the Defensive MVP at the 1999 Cam-Am Bowl, an annual 6 A Side game which pits an American All-Star Team against one from Saskatchewan. He will blend these experiences into a unique presentation regarding β€œ6 A Side football”, a modified version of 12-person tackle football which caters to smaller communities yet allows for the development of a well-rounded skill set by allowing players to become exposed to a variety of positions.

An accomplished defensive linemen, Guebert has experienced all levels of football including the CFL (Winnipeg Blue Bombers), CIS (University of Saskatchewan) and the CJFL (Saskatoon Hilltops). Brian also has international experience playing with Team Canada at the 2011 IFAF Senior World Championship. Brian also has experience coaching defensive line and special teams with Saskatchewan’s provincial team.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
