Vanier & Grey Cup champ, Greg Knox to talk defensive systems at 2012 FCCA Convention

The Football Canada Coaches Association (FCCA) Convention, presented by Voxx Sports, is proud to announce, one of the premier defensive coordinators in the country, Greg Knox, will speak on Sunday March 25, 2012. Presenting on defensive systems at this year’s FCCA Convention, McMaster University’s defensive coordinator is fresh off a 2012 Vanier Cup victory, becoming the first team to defeat Laval in the championship game.

BIO

Prior to entering into coaching, Knox played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Calgary Stampeders for eight seasons (1992-1999) where he was a member of 2 Grey Cup Championship winning teams (1992, 1998). Knox was a CFL All-Canadian (1994) and Nominee for the CFL Tom Pate, “Man of the Year” Award (1994) for outstanding sportsmanship, dedication and contribution to the league.

As a Canadian Interuniversity Sport Student-Athlete, he was a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Vanier Cup Team (1991) with McMaster head coach, Stefan Ptaszek. He also holds a bachelor of education degree from the University of Maine.

Knox has also served as a Board member of the CFL Players Association, Calgary Stampeders Alumni Association and Team Representative in countless public relations functions, speaking engagements and charitable events, including Stay in School, Children’s Milk Fund and Big Brothers and Sisters.
