FCCA Convention day two “As good as any”: Inzerello, USA Football

The inaugural FCCA Convention concluded today on day number two of the weekend event. The event saw 211 people participate in various roles. NFL veteran coach John Levra started the day with a spirited presentation on ‘stopping the run’ and tackling fundamentals. Nick Inzerello (USA Football) presented on recommendations they make for player age appropriate participation. “This was as good as any clinic & convention I have ever attended” said Inzerello who attended all the Saturday presentations. “Every coach knew their craft and I learned a ton this weekend”.

After Inzerello, Saskatchewan Roughrider coach Greg Marshall, with the assistance of 4 Corpus Christi players, showed drills and skills of defensive line pass rush techniques. The audience and the young players got their money’s worth from this veteran CFL coach.

Finally, Hamilton Tiger Cat coach Marcel Bellefeuille talked about his offensive and coaching philosophy and showed some valuable film clips to support his coaching points. Another great presentation to end the convention.

All 134 coaching delegates, 19 volunteers, 6 organizing committee members, 18 speakers and 34 exhibitor delegates raved about the first time event. Western Mustang, York Lion, McMaster Maurader, and Guelph Gryphon staff members commented on the event: “Great job”; “It is only going to grow”; “tremendous speakers”.

The FCCA would like to thank all 211 people who participated in the event. The FCCA plans to evaluate the feedback and other variables and announce some time this summer the 2012 date and location of the convention.
