Ferguson: Why CIS Football Deserves a Signing Day (Part 1)

What is National Signing Day?

Each year on a quiet Wednesday in the beginning of February, North America’s best and brightest high school football players sign letters of intent to attend various NCAA schools.

For now this event is known as national signing day. Following Wednesday’s events it might be time to call it international signing day after a total of seventeen Canadians signed letters of intent to enrol at a wide variety of esteemed NCAA institutions. While this number remains minuscule in comparison to American commits, the fact remains this years Canadian class has both the talent and depth to be one of the best ever.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
