Football New Brunswick announces U18 Provincial Team Staff


Football New Brunswick is pleased to announce the coaching staff for the U18 Provincial Team. After an eleven year absence from the Canada Cup. Football New Brunswick will once again be on the National scene at the Canada Cup in London Ontario this summer. The FNB program will select a 40 man roster for this event.

Head coach for the Program is Ed Wasson, Head coach at Bernice McNaughton High School in Moncton. Coach Wasson has several Provincial Championship to his credit and also is a NCCP Learning Facilitator.

Joining the team as Offensive Coordinator/ QB coach will be Geatan Richard a Moncton native and graduate of the Mt Allison football program. Geatan presently is on the coaching staff at Mt Allison University. Defensive Coordinator is Peter Miller a graduate of the St Francis U football program. Coach Miller has coached at Bernice McNaughton for several years and is presently the Linebacker coach at Mt Allison,

Positional Coaches include;
Dave Grandy, (Defensive Backs) a grad of St Francis U football program and the Head Coach at Saint John High.
Matt Lusk, (Linebacker/Special tm) a coach at Breince McNaughton HS and the bantam Highlanders.
Chris Hopkins Offensive Line coach) a grad of Mt Allison and the Head coach of the 10 Man Provincial Champion Kennebecasis Valley High School Team.
The team General Manager and Defensive Line coach will be Kevin Arbeau, Oromocto High School.

The U18 program has commenced training with development camp throughout the province and will make final preparations in late June with games against Team NS and a Quebec CEGEP team.
