
Football New Brunswick is hiring up to four students to assist with program delivery and management. These positions require an average workload of 35 hours per week for a period of eight to twelve weeks. The offered salary is $15 per hour.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The student shall be responsible to:
– Take a lead role in developing Football New Brunswickβs flag football programs and associated activities as directed by the Technical Director;
– Take initiative in the development of flag football by approaching schools and recreation centers;
– Assist with the development of minor football camps;
– Assist with the development of athletes, coaches, and officials;
– Work in collaboration with the minor football organization of its region;
– Support the efforts of the Directors, working committees, and other volunteers in the fulfilment of their roles and duties;
– Work in collaboration with a number of multi-sport and partner organizations;
– Assist in the development of the Football New Brunswick brand;
– Assist with other duties as directed by the Technical Director and/or President.
The employee will be asked to operate within the by-laws, policies and programs established by the Board of Directors of Football New Brunswick and Sport NB. Because the selected students will represent FNB in many formal and informal settings, the students will have to maintain a positive public profile within both the football and sports communities.
ELIGIBILITY FOR SELECTION
The student must:

[*] – be a student in the current academic year and be attending a post-secondary institution in the fall

The following characteristics are considered to be an asset:
A student that:
– has knowledge of the game of football as coach and/or manager
– has experience working with young children
– is a second or subsequent year student in a kinesiology program
or
– in a degree program leading to a Sport Management position
WORK LOCATIONS
There will be at least one position in each of the Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John areas. The selected students will be responsible for travel within its regions. On occasion, travel outside these regions may be required and would be compensated for by FNB at stipulated rates.
