Football USA’s Director of Football Development (Inzerello) to speak at FCCA convention (April 2 & 3)


The newly formed Football Canada Coaches Association (FCCA) is pleased to announce Football USA Director of Football Development- Nick Inzerello as a speaker at the 2011 FCCA CONVENTION which is being held April 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] and 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] in Burlington, Ontario at Corpus Christi Secondary School.

Inzerello is responsible for the development of football programs and resources serving football coaches, game officials, youth league administrators and players. This includes USA Football’s Player Progression Development Model and its Certified Education Program. Inzerello will draw on his experiences when presenting on the topic of youth football and USA Football’s Long- Term Athlete Development model.

Inzerello also oversees the non-profit’s event services team that develops and executes nearly 50 training events on an annual basis for youth football coaches and players. Events include age-appropriate Coaching Schools for youth coaches hosted in partnership with NFL teams; the Player Academy, a youth football development camp for players between the ages of 7-14; and FUNdamentals clinics, a one-day non-contact skills and drills camp for youngsters.

From 1999-2000, Inzerello worked in the public relations department of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. He then worked for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) from 2000-03 in athlete marketing, contributing to the organization’s Olympic Games objectives in 2000 (Sydney) and 2002 (Salt Lake City). Inzerello has served USA Football since 2003.

A four-year football letter winner at Northwest Missouri State University as a wide receiver, Inzerello earned multiple Academic All-Conference honors. The Omaha, Neb., native helped the Bearcats reach the NCAA Division II playoffs in 1996 and 1997.

In addition to his work at USA Football, Inzerello has served as a volunteer coach in the Fairfax County (Va.) Youth Football League.
