Carter Zinger started football in the summer of 2010 when he was in grade 4. βMy friends and I thought it would be so much fun to βhitβ some other kids,β he said. Carterβs parents thought he was too young to play because the age difference was three years, however, with Carter continually hounding them, they finally conceded and let Carter join a team. βWell, to my surprise football practice wasnβt like I thought it would be,β he replied. βIt was far more than just βhittingβ some guys. It was hard work, it was intense, and it was hot!β Three of Carterβs friends quit, which left Carter and his friend the only grade 4βs left on the team. Carter fell in love with the game and never looked back.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
