Carter Zinger started football in the summer of 2010 when he was in grade 4. āMy friends and I thought it would be so much fun to āhitā some other kids,ā he said. Carterās parents thought he was too young to play because the age difference was three years, however, with Carter continually hounding them, they finally conceded and let Carter join a team. āWell, to my surprise football practice wasnāt like I thought it would be,ā he replied. āIt was far more than just āhittingā some guys. It was hard work, it was intense, and it was hot!ā Three of Carterās friends quit, which left Carter and his friend the only grade 4ās left on the team. Carter fell in love with the game and never looked back.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
