Former CFLer, Stefan Logan, longest play in NFL this season (VIDEO)

When Stefan Logan made the Pittsburgh Steelers opening day roster last season — after being signed away from the Canadian Football League — he was expected to make an impact on kickoff returns, improving an area that had been a weakness in previous seasons. In the end, he was pretty good, but hardly a game-breaker. He didn’t make the final 53-man roster this season, and instead caught on with the Detroit Lions.

On Sunday, he showed the athletic ability that made him a star in Canada by returning a kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown against the St. Louis Rams, giving the Lions a 10-3 lead. Detroit won the game, 44-6.

As of now, that’s the longest play in the NFL this season, topping a 103-yard kickoff return by New England’s Brandon Tate.

The Lions, entering the game 0-4, went into the half holding a 24-6 lead.
