Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): DB Keneford waiting for recognition

William Keneford started playing football eight years ago wit h the Nepean Redskins.

ā€œMy football experience to date has been filled with ups and downs, but itā€™s been my favourite experience as it is my favourite sport,ā€ said Will.

During his career, the defensive back has also played in Central Ontario Secondary Schools Athletics (COSSA) with the Centennial Chargers.

Currently, he is playing with the Kingston/Limestone District Grenadiers in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

The Grenadier is also participating in this yearā€™s Fox 40 Prospect Challenge, and hopes to become a better football player while getting recognition from coaches and competing with the best players his age.

During the offseason, Will works with a trainer, and on his own, to improve his football power, strength and speed.

On the field, the defensive backā€™s role model, and favourite player in his position, is Eric Berry because of how he came back from cancer.

ā€œI love football because I enjoy playing the game and it teaches me good morals in becoming a man,ā€ commented Will.
