Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): FB Pitre dreams of being a GeeGee

Rookie Brandon Pitre’s football career has been short, but the experience so far has been great.

“I loved every minute that I was out on that field whether it was for a practice or for a game,” said Brandon, who made sure to never miss a practice.

“I never wanted the season to come to an end,” added the fullback.

Brandon played in the Upper Ottawa Valley High School Athletic Association (UOVHSAA) with the St. Joseph Jaguars.

This past season, while with the junior Jaguars, he accumulated a touchdown, 200 plus yards and a 35-yard kick return. With the senior Jaguars, Brandon started on special teams.

The Jaguar will also be participating in this year’s Fox 40 Prospect Challenge, and his goals are to become a better all around football player and make the final roster that will travel to Hamilton to represent Ontario East.

During the offseason, the fullback plays on his school’s varsity lacrosse team and with the local Knights Lacrosse Association.

Brandon also plays hockey during the offseason and practices on a regular basis during the summer.

On the field, his idol is Brad Sinopoli because he attended University of Ottawa, where Brandon hopes to go one day.

“He is also very humble with his talents and rarely drops the ball or misses a route,” commented the Jaguar.

The fullback loves football because of the team setting and the camaraderie that is built over the season.
