Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): FB Pitre dreams of being a GeeGee

Rookie Brandon Pitreโ€™s football career has been short, but the experience so far has been great.

โ€œI loved every minute that I was out on that field whether it was for a practice or for a game,โ€ said Brandon, who made sure to never miss a practice.

โ€œI never wanted the season to come to an end,โ€ added the fullback.

Brandon played in the Upper Ottawa Valley High School Athletic Association (UOVHSAA) with the St. Joseph Jaguars.

This past season, while with the junior Jaguars, he accumulated a touchdown, 200 plus yards and a 35-yard kick return. With the senior Jaguars, Brandon started on special teams.

The Jaguar will also be participating in this yearโ€™s Fox 40 Prospect Challenge, and his goals are to become a better all around football player and make the final roster that will travel to Hamilton to represent Ontario East.

During the offseason, the fullback plays on his schoolโ€™s varsity lacrosse team and with the local Knights Lacrosse Association.

Brandon also plays hockey during the offseason and practices on a regular basis during the summer.

On the field, his idol is Brad Sinopoli because he attended University of Ottawa, where Brandon hopes to go one day.

โ€œHe is also very humble with his talents and rarely drops the ball or misses a route,โ€ commented the Jaguar.

The fullback loves football because of the team setting and the camaraderie that is built over the season.
