Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): LB/DB Joseph not letting his size be a barrier

Jehad Joseph began his football career five years ago.

During the linebacker/defensive back’s half a decade on the gridiron, Jehad has played in the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) with the North Gloucester Giants and the Orleans Bengals.

Currently, he plays for his high school team, the St. Matthew Tigers, in the National Capital Secondary Schools Athletic Association (NCSSAA).

Last year, the Tiger registered 4 sacks, 50 tackles, and 1 interception, as well as 4 fumble recoveries, and 3 forced fumbles.

“My football role model is Tyrann Mathieu because he made me believe that no matter how tall you are, you can still play football,” said Jehad, who follows the statement, “heart over height.”

“The height is really all about the hype,” added the Tiger, “undersized guys can put in the work too, don’t underestimate me.”
