Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Prospect Mason is a dominant OL

Brenden Mason may have begun his football career three years ago; he has amassed the knowledge and skills to be a dominant offensive lineman.

Mason has played with the Clarington Knights in the 2015 summer and fall, as well as the 2016 summer, and in the 2016 fall, he played with the Holy Trinity Titans, and in that short period of time, he has received two consecutive Best Lineman Awards.

“I am looking forward to the season and game ahead with CFCFPC,” says Mason.

On the football field Mason bullies opposing defensive linemen the same way his idol, Larry Allen, a legendary center for the Dallas Cowboys in the 1990s used to do.

“My football idol is Larry Allen because he could bench and squat 600lbs or more. He led one of the best running games of his era. Larry Allen could also toss everyone in front of him, like I do in my league,” says Mason.

Mason loves the game of football because every time he steps across the white lines the adrenaline hits him. “I love to play football because it is a great game and I get a great feeling, the adrenaline is pumping through my veins. When I walk on the field with my team, and make some great blocks,” says Mason.

Mason wants to give university scouts attending CFCFPC a strong impression. “My goals for the CFCFPC is that I am playing great football with an elite team to get noticed by one or more university scouts,” says Mason.

In the off-season, Mason trains and plays another sport to become a better athlete. “In the off-season, I play hockey and workout to improve my athletic capabilities and strength. I do this to become the best athlete I can possibly be,” says Mason.
