Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Stallion hoping to ride his way to CEGEP

Riley Pincombe started playing football 13 years ago, and has only ever played for two different teams.

ā€œIā€™ve played every since my league age restrictions allowed and have always enjoyed it,ā€ said Riley.

He got his start with the Western Patriotes, where he stayed through until bantam.

ā€œBack in my fourth year playing my coaches put me in as a corner and it was the position that I enjoyed most and have played it ever since,ā€ commented the safety.

Currently, he plays with the midget St-Lazare Stallions in the Quebec Minor Football League (QMFL) and is trying out for CEGEPā€™s John Abbott College.

During the offseason, the Stallion trains with an Olympic sprinter in Montreal and goes to the gym regularly while regularly participating in other activities to stay in top athletic shape.

Moreover, on the field, his idol is his coach, Jonathan Grizzley, because he has worked hard to make Riley into the best player possible over the years, while always enforcing good morals and decision making with his future at heart.

ā€œFootball is a sport that encourages all sorts of values and is always a learning experience,ā€ added Riley. ā€œIt helped shape my youth while still allowing me to have fun and be fit.ā€
