Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Tiger Parker looking to be the starting WR

Nicolas Parker has been playing football for six years, and throughout his experience he has had a great time.

“I’ve met people that are still my friends from my first season,” said Nicolas. “Football is a brotherhood, everyone has to get along to accomplish a common goal.”

The wide receiver/slot started his career with the Halton Cowboys, and now plays with the Oakville Titans in the Ontario Football Conference (OFC). He also plays in the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA) with the T.A. Blakelock Tigers.

Last season, the Tiger got 135 rushing yards on 15 carries, 225 receiving yards on 12 receptions and two touchdowns in just eight games.

Moreover, Nicolas is also participating in this year’s Fox 40 Prospect Challenge, where his goals are to make the team and start as a wide receiver.

During the offseason, he watches a lot of football and sees what the pros do. He also does a lot of goal setting and playing pick up with his friends.

“I also workout three times a week and I’m always active to stay in shape,” commented Nicolas.

The wide receiver’s role model is Jarvis Landry because he is on Nicolas’ favourite and has nice hands. “He’s a really nice guy and he’s not aggressive and he doesn’t talk trash to other players because he shows it on the field,” continued Nicolas.

The Tiger loves to play football because every play is different and it keeps him in shape.

“… It’s fun to run around on the gridiron,” added Nicolas.
