CEGEP fullback signs with RSEQ team.
David Sheridan-Wall is making the move to a smaller CIS town.
Recently, the 5ā11, 235 pound fullback from Kirkland, Quebec signed with the Bishopās Gaiters.Ā Sheridan-Wall will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.
āI chose Bishop`s mainly because it felt like the ideal fit for me, both for the academics and for the football program,ā explained Sheridan-Wall of his decision.Ā āGetting out of the house and moving from Montreal to a small town like Lennoxville is something I was very interested in.ā
āI was also really intrigued with the Sports Studies and Business program that they offer at Bishopās, as I am hoping I`ll be able to pursue a career within both those fields.ā
Moreover, the positive direction and the potential of the Gaitersā football program was also a lucrative selling point for the Quebec standout. Ultimately, Sheridan-Wall is hoping to make an immediate, noticeable impact in years to come.
āThe football program at Bishop`s was very intriguing for me as I believe there is a well-rounded coaching staff that seems to provide help and mentor all their players,ā elaborated Sheridan-Wall. āThe team itself seems rather young, and I believe there is great potential for the future.ā
āAs I am switching from Guard to Fullback, I am excited to learn and adapt to a new position. I am hoping to make a significant impact on both the offensive and special teams units, with tremendous hard work and dedication, on and off the field. I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life.ā
Sheridan-Wall has completed a stint with CEGEP Division 2 team John Abbott College Islanders.Ā With his commitment to the Gaiters, he will be reunited with former Islander teammates.
āI have some former teammates and friends from John Abbott who are presently at Bishop`s which made my decision even easier,ā added the fullback who also previously suited up for Lakeshore Cougars.
