Nova Scotia running back joins OUA team’s 2015 class.
Dustin Brogaard will be beginning his CIS career in the Nationβs Capital.
Recently, the 5β11, 200 pound running back from Halifax, Nova Scotia signed with the Ottawa Gee-Gees.Β Brogaard will join the team from for the 2015 OUA season.
βI chose Ottawa University due to the history of the school and the experience that every coach brings with them,β explained the linebacker of his decision.Β βI feel as though I’ll as a person and as a football player while being on a team such as this, the competition of being on a very good team is exactly what I need to continue getting better.β
This past season, Brogaard guided the Frontenac Falcons of the Kingston Area Secondary School Athletic Association (KASSAA) to a league championship en route to an OFSAA Bowl victory. For his efforts, Brogaard was named KASSAA Championship MVP.
However, the defensive standout began his gridiron career in Nova Scotia.Β Prior to the Falcons, he suited up for the Sackville High Kingfishers of the Nova Scotia Student Athletic Federation Football League (NSSAFFL). Brogaard made the move to Kingston, Ontario from Nova Scotia before his grade 11 year.
