Going to a contender (VIDEO)

BC All-Star wide receiver newest recruit to join Hardy Cup Champions.

Scott Childs will be moving provinces to play at the CIS level.

The 6’2, 165 pound wide receiver has signed with the Hardy Cup Champions Calgary Dinos.  He will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

“I joined the University of Calgary Dinos for several reasons, the most outstanding; however, being their academics and commitment to excellence.”

“I really liked Coach (Blake) Nill’s philosophy on recruitment and why I should play for him for the next four to five years. I am very happy with my decision as I am going to one of the top schools in Canada, and will be playing for one of the top football programs in the nation.”

While Childs’ hometown is Fredericton, New Brunswick, he has called Parksville, British Columbia home for the past several years.  The offensive standout has played for the Ballenas Whalers of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA) for the last five years.  This past season, he was selected as a Provincial All-Star as he amassed 932 receiving yards on 44 receptions and scored 10 touchdowns.
