Calgary lineman to begin CIS career in home province

Ethan Mahony is moving cities but will be commencing his CIS career in his home province.

Recently, the 6’3, 285 pound defensive lineman (tackle) from Calgary committed to the University of Alberta Golden Bears for the 2015 CWUAA season.

β€œI chose the University of Alberta because of their fantastic academic support system that Coach (Chris) Morris has set up because I believe that is what will give me the best opportunity to succeed,” commented Mahony of his commitment.Β  β€œTheir football program has some excellent players and I wholeheartedly believe that this program will be very successful within the next few years!”

Mahony will come to the Golden Bears after completing his high school career with the Henry Wise Wood Warriors of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA).
