The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks have announced the commitment of Adam Preocanin to their football program.

Preocanin, the 6’0, 175 pound kicker from Burlington, Ontario will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

He comes to the Golden Hawks with a wealth of experience. Recently, he completed his high school career with the Nelson Lords of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA). Additionally, he has suited up for the Burlington Stampeders of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).

“We believe that Adam is the top kicker in this recruiting class and we are excited about him being a Golden Hawk now,” commented Golden Hawks Head Coach Michael Faulds.  “He comes from a great high school program at Nelson and he has been coaches very well.”

Golden Hawks Defensive Backs Coach as well as Special Teams and Recruiting Coordinator Dwayne Cameron is excited about the newest Golden Hawks and looks forward to welcoming him into the fold.

“He is the 2014 OFC All Star‎ Kicker, and averaged over 45 yards a punt and was 13 of 17 on field goals for Burlington Nelson this fall,” expressed Cameron.  “He has the potential to be as good as he wants to be.”
