Goliaths star Larsen visits with four OUA schools.

East York Collegiate Goliaths star Chris Larsen has huge gridiron dreams and hopes to realize them in the next stage of his career.

Chris started playing football in gradeΒ nine with his high school team East York Collegiate Goliaths and by grade 10Β  helped the team win a regional championship by scoring 11 touchdowns. Additionally he has suited up for the Toronto Thunder of the Ontario Varsity Football League. During his time with the Thunder, he was selected to participate in the OVFL Prospects Game.

The Ontario standout is versatile as he has experience playing linebacker, defensive end, quarterback and receiver.

β€œMy dad has taught me a lot of things in life and I got a lot of my athletic traits from him,” says Chris of his main football and life influences.Β  “My coaches at school, coaches Glen Edwards and Paul Swaby have taught me a lot about football.”

“I’m very grateful for everyone who has been supportive of me”.

Chris is undecided whether he will return to East York Collegiate Institute after his graduation in 2014 or move on to post-secondary education. Chris is keeping all his options open on both sides of the border.Β  He has had official visits with four OUA schools: Β Western, Wilfrid Laurier, McMaster, and Queen’s.

β€œIf I could play anywhere in the NCAA that would be more than my dream; no particular schools in mind for the NCAA but my favourite team is the Alabama Crimson Tide,” says Chris.Β  “My biggest dream is to play there.”
