“Good rapport” prompts Brockville recruit to choose Mount Allison (VIDEO)

Brockville receiver joins AUS team’s 2016 class

Devin Paul will be reunited with a former teammate at the CIS level.

Recently, the 5’10, 170 pound receiver from Brockville, Ontario committed to Mount Allison Mounties. Ā Paul will join the team for the 2016 AUS season.

By virtue of his commitment, Paul will reunite with Graham Kelly. Ā Both recruits suited up for the Ottawa Sooners of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).

Not only is he excited to create offensive magic with Kelly, but Paul is looking forward to builing the strong relationship he established with the coaching staff. Ā It is the receiver’s hope that the coaches will help him develop into an elite receiver in years to come.

“I committed to Mount Allison Football because I built up a good rapport with Coach [Gaetan] Richard and Coach [Scott] Brady,” expressed Paul of his commitment. Ā “Rookie MTA Quarterback Graham Kelly, a good friend and past teammate of mine gave me the coaches contact information.”

“I flew out to Sackville, New Brunswick to check out the school facilities. I enjoyed my time there and realized how close the team was, they Elsie nearly everything together and push each other for success. I like the fact that Sackville is such a small town so there are no distractions from football.”

In his final season with the Sooners, Paul racked up 189 yards on nine receptions (average of 21 yards per reception) and a touchdown.

“I hope I get more opportunities to make plays at Mount Allison University,” added the offensive standout. Ā “As you can see with my stats the ball did not come my way often but when it did I made sure I did something positive with it.”

“I hope the coaches and quarterbacks realize the potential I have at receiver.”
