Grandison makes it official: Lions building a tremendous nucleus (video)

Marcus Grandison and Coach Warren Craney are both happy this evening with the news that Grandison will be joining the York Lions class of 2011. Marcus was one of the top defensive players available in the class of 2011. Grandison and Craney had this to say about the decision:

“We feel Marcus is one of the most versatile defensive players available this year and are extremely happy to have him joining our program. He is able to play a variety of positions right from the beginning; either boundary half back, free safety or sam linebacker” said a smiling Coach Craney.

“I’ll play anywhere and everywhere” said Marcus when asked about his prospects for the 2011 season. Marcus will be pursuing a degree in either Political Science or Business.

Marcus played for Team World in 2011 and Coach Craney was the defensive coordinator. Marcus was featured on CFC (click here to view article) on February 12th and he posted his hilite film on CFC in the winter of 2010.

Congrats to Marcus, Coach Craney and the York Lion fans and alumni. You got a good one.
