It was a long day for CFC TOP 100 Chris Amoah and CFC # 12 Upper Canada College Blues.
Curtis Holmes tallied three majors as CFC # 10 W.F. Herman Green Griffins cruised to a 42-7 win over the Blues.
The Blues got on the scoreboard in the first quarter as pivot Liam Power connected with Aidan Powers for a 40 yard touchdown reception to give the Blues an early 7-0 lead in the game.
However, that touchdown would be the only score of the game for the Blues.
Later in the first quarter, the Holmes dashed into the end zone to tally a six yard major.
As halftime, the Green Griffins enjoyed a 14-7 lead as Marcus Kentner rushed for a four yard touchdown score.
In the second half, the Green Griffins offense went to work.
Marquise Thompson had two consecutive one yard quarterback sneaks into the end zone early in the fourth quarter. Soon after, Holmes added a five yard rushing major to seal the win for the Green Griffins.
Offensively, the Green Griffins amassed 309 total rushing yards in the game. Holmes led the way with 148 rushing yards on six carries while Kentner racked up 119 rushing yards on 15 carries. Norvell McGlaun registered four tackles while Spencer Trinier added three tackles.
For the Blues, Philippe Martin led the defense with 10 tackles while Power chipped in with five tackles.
This is the third OFSAA Bowl win for the Green Griffins in four years and the fifth victory in six overall appearances.
