Gryphons land British Columbia recruit

Chilliwack defensive lineman becomes first recruit to join OUA team’s 2015 class.

Yesterday, the Guelph Gryphons announced their first recruit for the team’s 2015 class.

Diego Pineda has committed to the Gryphons for the 2015 CWUAA season.  He is a 6’4, 245 pound defensive lineman from Chilliwack, British Columbia.

“Diego is a great first addition to our 2015 recruiting class,” commented Gryphons Defensive Coordinator Kevin MacNeill.  “His 6’4 245 pound frame moves very well and we see him coming in and competing very early in his university career.”

The defensive lineman is currently playing for GW Graham Carson Grizzlies of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA). Pineda also suited up for the Chilliwack JB Red Giants.
