Guelph fits Oakville recruit’s “kind of offence” (VIDEO)

Oakville slotback joins OUA team’s 2016 class.

Matt Creelman will be playing at the CIS level in his home province in future years.

The 5’9, 180 pound slotback from Oakville, Ontario has signed with the Guelph Gryphons.  Creelman will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

Ultimately, it was the right set of circumstances for Creelman to opt for the Gryphons.

“They fit my kind of offence – fast, quick pace football,” explained the slotback of his decision.  “I love the coaches and it felt like home.”

“Guelph was a very friendly school to me.  Coach Todd [Galloway], Coach [Adam] Grandy and Coach [Stu] Lang all showed me and my parents the really great campusIt’s close to home but far enough away.”

This past fall, Creelman completed his career with Holy Trinity Titans of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA).  With the Titans in 2015, the offensive standout amassed 738 yards on 14 receptions, 935 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns.

Additionally, the slotback has also suited up for the Oakville Titans of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC).
