Guelph gets commitment from Blue Chipper Pritty

The Guelph Gryphons have landed their first blue chip recruit of the 2011 class. Connor Pritty, a linebacker & receiver from Markham high school, has committed to play his CIS football at Guelph. The Guelph staff is pleased to announce the commitment and coach Bill Brown had this to say about Connor:

“We are very pleased that Connor has decided to attend the University of Guelph and play football for the Gryphons. His impact will be immediate. Connor’s abilities and range as an athlete will be a welcome addition the the Gryphon Football Team.”

Connor had narrowed it down to 3 choices but Guelph felt right for the Football Canada cup national champion and Metro Bowl champion of 2009.

“I was really impressed by Coach Lang and his emphasis and concern he had not only for his players’ as athlete’s but more importantly as student-athlete’s. I also was excited about the connection I felt Coach MacNeill and I have made and that he was a real players’ coach and I was going to be given the opportunity to play an important role in Guelph’s goal to be Vanier Cup Champions.”

Connor went on to mention that full-time strength & conditioning coach Munford and the brand new facility were also a factor in his decision as well as the present players and alumni that he met. He is excited about the opportunity and CFC is excited to see what position Connor plays at the next level.
