POSITION:
Assistant Coach-Football
Department of Athletics, University of Guelph
Head Football Coach
As a valuable member of the Gryphon Football program, you will deliver championship service to our student athletes. Under the direction of the Head Coach, you will assist in building a Championship Culture on and off the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Defensive coaching priority, preferably Defensive Backs
- Identify, qualify and recruit University of Guelph student athletes
- Provide assistance and administration to Football directed events
- Additional responsibilities at the Head Coach’s discretion
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred University Graduate
- Fluent in French is an asset
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Valid driver license and access to a vehicle
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Available to work weekend and evenings as required
- Successful at delivering under time-pressured deadlines, utilizing time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Proficient at recruiting software programs (Frontrush)
- A self-starter with a mature, professional attitude and can adapt to new situations quick and efficiently
- The capacity to learn and grasp new concepts quickly
- Alert and receptive to change
- A positive team spirit and winning attitude
