Brampton defensive lineman joins OUA team’s 2016 class

For Kevin Acheampong Jr, there was never a question of where he was going to pursure his CIS career.

Finally making a dream become a reality, the 6’2, 263 pound defensive lineman from Brampton, Ontario has committed to the Guelph Gryphons.  Acheampong Jr. will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“i always knew I was going to Guelph ever since i started playing football; everything about the program feels like home and I couldn’t see why someone wouldn’t pick Guelph because the system is perfect,” offered the defensive lineman.  “The factors that drove me to my decision were the football atmosphere throughout the university, the family feel throughout the team and the great coaching that will make me the best I could be.”

“It’s one of the best decisions I could make but yet so easy.”

Acheampong Jr has played for both the Cardinal Ambrozic River Hawks of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) and Brampton Bulldogs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).  Furthermore, he has represented his home province as a member of Team Ontario.
