Brampton defensive back joins OUA team’s 2016 class.

Malcolm Ofori will be moving on to the next stage of his gridirion and academic career in his home province.

However, it will be in a different city.

Recently, the 5’10, 170 pound defensive back from Brampton, Ontario signed with the Guelph Gryphons. He will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

While it was the right fit academically and football wise, the atmosphere was the real selling point for Ofori.

“Not only does Guelph have a great football team but their school is well known around the world for its biological sciences,” elaborated Ofori.  “I think it was their Anatomical Lab that actually influenced me the most to join the Gryphon family, as I am an aspiring sports physician.”

“When I visited the campus, there was a friendly aura that seemed to fill up the campus and I feel like Guelph is a place where I’d be happy to spend the next four years playing and studying.”

Among the teams Ofori has suited up for his career include David Suzuki Grizzlies of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) and Brampton Bulldogs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
