Nathan has played for the Cambridge Lions of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL), Guelph Bears of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) and his high school team, Centennial (CGVI) Spartans of Guelph District 10 in the Central Western Ontario Secondary School Association (CWOSSA).

Nathan began playing when he was just nine years old with the Bears.

During his career, Nathan was won two OVFL Championships with the Lions.  Moreover, he has been selected as an OVFL All-Star three times.

His most memorable football experience was his first season with the bantam Lions as he helped the team in win its first OVFL Championship at the Rogers Centre.

“The fact that we were down at half and had to fight our way back to get the win was really quite exciting,” he explains. “What made it say special is that it was my first year playing with the Lions and Cambridge had never won a Championship before.”

Appreciative of all the help he has received from his parents in pursuing his love of the game, Nathan says his parents are the most influential people in his life. He credits them with making him into the person he is today and making sure he has the opportunity to grow as a football player.

“Sometimes I think kids take it for granted how much their parents do for them,” says the Spartans standout. “I know that my parents are always running me around to football practice and high school practice or wherever we need to go.”

“I know without them I wouldn’t be the person I am today.”

While he is yet to make any official school visits, the Ontario offensive lineman has no real preference towards which post-secondary school he attends but does have a soft spot for the home CIS team.

“I’m definitely considering Guelph as it is where I live,” adds Nathan.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
