London athlete becomes third CFC TOP 100 player to commit to OUA team’s 2014 class

Cameron Geddes will be making Hamilton his new home for the next few years.

The McMaster Marauders have announced that the 6’2 186 pound athlete from London, Ontario has committed to the team for the 2014 OUA season.

“Cameron has been identified as one of the better all-around athletes in the province,” commented Marauders Offensive Coordinator Jon Behie on the team’s newest addition.  “He comes from a great high school program and his experience playing for London in the OVFL should prepare him for the next level. “

“We have recruited Cam to play free safety, and we are really looking forward to seeing what he can do once he commits to one position.  That said, it’s always good to have versatility and Cam certainly has the ability to play elsewhere.  We’re excited to welcome Cam to the Marauders and join an already great group of London area commits.”

Geddes joins the Marauders after completing his high school career with the Catholic Central Crusaders of the Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA).  This past season, the Crusaders made it to the OFSAA Bowl Festival Series.

“I committed to McMaster because of their great history in football, the warmth I feel when I am on the campus and their academic excellence” said the 6’4, 200 lbs. Geddes.

In addition to the Crusaders, Geddes has suited up for the London Jr. Mustangs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

With his commitment, the Marauders now have three CFC TOP 100 players who have joined the team’s 2014 class. The others in this elite class include defensive lineman Andrew Ziebart and defensive back Esaie Mobko.
