Help the Steelers get to Red Deer


Still celebrating its exhilarating Northern Football Conference championship win last Saturday, the Sault Steelers Football Club is preparing to head to Red Deer, Alberta on September 25 to defend its Canadian Major Football League championship title.

Steelers fans – SooToday.com knows there’s a lot of you out there – are invited to support the team’s continued domination of the Canadian football world by participating the Steelers CMFL Fundraiser Classic Golf Scramble.

The event takes place at Silver Creek Golf Course, 104 Belleau Lake Road in Garden River, on Sunday, September 19 at 9 a.m.

Admission to the tournament is $100 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, dinner and prizes.

If you’re interested in proving that you’re the biggest Steelers fan in the universe, a variety of team sponsorship opportunities are currently available.

Adopt a Steeler

Platinum Level ($500) – Includes two seasons tickets for the 2011 Steelers football season, two tickets to the Steelers fundraising pub at the Canadian Night Club on September 11, print recognition in the 2011 season program, recognition durng live streaming of the 2010 CMFL Championship game, and hole sponsorship during the Steelers golf tournament.

Gold Level ($250) – Includes one season ticket for the 2011 Steelers football season and print recognition in the 2011 season program.

Bronze Level ($100) – Includes print recognition in the 2011 season program.

The public is invited to attend the Steelers football pub at the Canadian Night Club, 410 Pim Street, on Saturday, September 11.

Featuring entertainment by That’s Chester, admission to the pub is $10.

All proceeds go to support the Sault Steelers’ quest to win a second straight Canadian Major Football League championship title.
