High school players of the week (BC): Nacario, Coles named

Players of the Week

AAA: Nate Nacario (STMC) – Nacario averaged 12.8 yards per carry rushing for 141 yards on the ground and added four touchdowns in a 48-0 win over Kelowna. Nacario & the Knights offence has been on fire recording a combined 83 points in their last two games.

AA: Dayton Coles (Ballenas) – Dayton Coles was a force on the ground, carrying 15 times for 182 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-0 win over Frank Hurt. Coles ranks second in the league in rushing with 579 yards from scrimmage in five games this season.

Lord Tweedsmuir- Joel Klassen rushed 20 times for 203 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-7 win over Centennial.

Lord Tweedsmuir- Derek Best carried 16 times for 165 yards in a Panthers win

Centennial- #CFC100 Keon Fuoco led the Centaurs defence with eight tackles and three forced fumbles in a loss

STMC- Anthony Prpic had 11 carries for 91 yards and three scores in Knights win

Terry Fox- QB Jaden Shanley threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in a 51-7 win over Mission

Terry Fox- #CFC100 Jeremie Kankolongo rushed for 120 yards and two scores in a win over Mission

WJ Mouat- #CFC100 Nelson Lokombo rushed 32 times for 251 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 29-yard TD in 36-35 win over Mt. Boucherie

New West- Lucas Sabau carried 15 times for 171 yards and two scores in a 45-19 win over Mt. Douglas

New West- Connor Pattison led the Hyacks defence with six tackles and a pair of sacks

Mt. Douglas- Josh Lucas scored a pair of touchdowns on 144 yards receiving and added another on a 97- yard kickoff return in a loss to NW

Belmont- Darian Jules threw for 347 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 28-14 loss to Notre Dame

Belmont- Eli Nelms-Horton finished with 6 catches for 197 yards and a touchdown in a loss

Vancouver College- Alfred Dela Cruz carried 23 times for 189 yards and three scores in 27-26 win over South Delta

Vancouver College- Isaiah State led the defence with 11 primary tackles and 13 overall, including a pair of sacks

Handsworth- Joey Sadain rushed for 110 yards and four touchdowns in a 47-0 victory over Earl Marriott

AA:

Nanaimo District- LB Zephyr Melnyk scooped up a fumble and ran 61 yards for a touchdown in a 28-20 win over John Barsby

Argyle- Quarterback Mac Ward threw for 269 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 30-13 win over Salmon Arm

Ballenas- QB Ben Robinson rushed for 105 yards and three more majors in a win over the Trojans

Holy Cross- Brandon Canuel was a ball hawk in the secondary making three interceptions in a 20-0 win over Robert Bateman

Holy Cross- Grade 11 defensive end Curtis Balazs had three strip sacks, twice recovering the ball in a shutout win
