High school players of the week (BC): Uko and Olson named

RB Samwel Uko (Abbotsford)- Panthers Running back Samwel Uko was unstoppable last weekend racking up 368 yards on 26 carries and added 5 touchdowns in his teams 48-17 win over Vernon. His longest run of the day was a 65-yard touchdown. Uko has been a big reason why the Panthers have scored 110 points in their last 3 games.

QB Ike Olson (Clarence Fulton)- Olson threw for a pair of touchdowns, rushed for two more, and played very well on defense recording 3 sacks in the Maroons 35-28 win over Rutland.

QB Ben McDonald (South Delta)- The grade 9 went 16-23 for 236 yards and threw 2 TD passes in a 36-27 win over Belmont.

QB Darian Jules (Belmont)- Threw for 249 yards and 3 TD passes and rushed for 80 yards on the ground in a 36-27 loss to South Delta.

#CFC100 RB Michael Le (Vancouver College)- Rushed for 166 yards and 1 TD on 19 carries in a 33-28 loss to Mt. Douglas.

RB Sammy Sidhu (New West)- Carried 7 times for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 51-0 win over Carson Graham.

RB Lucas Sabau (New West)- Ran for 114 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries in a 51-0 win over Carson Graham.

LB Connor Pattison (New West)- Led the Hyacks defense with 10 tackles in their win over Carson Graham.

#CFC100 RB Jeremie Kankolongo (Terry Fox)- Ran for 136 yards and scored a pair of TD’s and had 9 tackles on defence in the Ravens 37-20 win over STMC.

WR Ethan Beselt (Mt. Boucherie)- Scored on both sides of the ball including a 33-yard TD catch and returned an interception 64 yards for a score in a 42-6 win over Mission.

RB Jesse Benneke (Mt. Boucherie)- Ran the ball for 108 yards on 11 carries and scored a pair of TD’s in a win over Mission.

RB Derek Best (Lord Tweedsmuir)- Racked up 190 yards on the ground and scored 4 TD’s in a 40-0 win over Kelowna.

DB Nic Greene (Centennial)- Hauled in 2 interceptions in a 26-13 win over WJ Mouat.

RB Tyson Philpot (Seaquam)- Rushed for touchdowns of 43, 62, and 23 yards in a 40-23 win over Holy Cross.

RB Julian Perri (Windsor)- Had 4 touchdowns, including a 60-yard TD return in a 40-0 win over Frank Hurt.

RB Justis Mackay-Topley (John Barsby)- Carried the ball 18 times for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 35-24 loss to Ballenas.

LB Noah Dies (Salmon Arm)- Recorded 3 sacks in a 26-0 win over Valleyview
