Home comfort

Ryan David

CEGEP receiver joins RSEQ team’s 2014 class.

The comfort level with one CIS school was just right for Ryan David.

As a result, the 5ā€™10 170 pound wide receiver from St. Leonard, Quebec recently committed to the Concordia Stingers for the 2014 RSEQ season.

ā€œI decided to commit to Concordia because I felt very comfortable there,ā€ commented David on his decision.Ā  ā€œThey have very good academics and have a program Iā€™m interested in.ā€

ā€œAs for football, I had met a few coaches and a bunch of the guys on the team and I just felt at home. A big reason as to why I chose to play for the Stingers is because it was necessary for me to stay close to home so I could be there for my family.ā€

David recently completed his CEGEP career with Division 2 team, John Abbott College Islanders.Ā  This past season, he racked up 463 receiving yards on 37 catches and scored five touchdowns.Ā  Previous to the Islanders, the Quebec offensive standout spent eight seasons with the St. Leonard Cougars.
