Home pride

Saskatoon defensive lineman signs with local CIS team.

The opportunity to stay home was too good of an offer for Adam Morrison to pass up.

Therefore, the 6’7, 270 pound defensive lineman from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.Β  Morrison will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

β€œThe biggest reason I chose to go to University of Saskatchewan is because it’s my hometown,” said Morrison.Β  β€œI’m from Saskatoon so that was the biggest influence and with three defensive linemen leaving it just seemed like the right time to move on to the University of Saskatchewan.”

β€œThe coaches have been great through winter training.Β  Coach (Aaron) Moser has taught me a lot in the little time I’ve practiced with the Huskies.Β  Β I just felt like I would be a good fit, and I wanted to stay in Saskatchewan as I am a huge supporter of Football Saskatchewan and everything they have done for me.”

Morrison recently completed a stint with Saskatoon Hilltops of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).Β  Previous to the Hilltops, Morrison played for his high school team, Holy Cross of the Saskatoon Secondary School Athletic Directorate (SSSAD).
