Fort Qu’Appelle standout recently commits to CWUAA team’s 2014 class.

Logan Shepherd will be continuing his gridiron career in his home province.

Recently, the 6’3 Β½, 220 pound defensive standout from Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan signed with the University of Regina Rams for the 2014 CWUAA season.

β€œI chose Regina because it’s close to home,” said Shepherd.Β  β€œThe University of Regina is a good school and the Rams have a great program.”

β€œIt’s hard to get noticed in small town Saskatchewan.Β  To further my education and play a team sport I love what more could you ask for.”

Shepherd played at the middle linebacker, defensive end, punter and kicker positions for the Bert Fox Marauders of the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association (SHSAA).Β  During six games in the 9-Man Division, he registered 49 solo tackles, 58 assisted tackles, recorded five quarterback sacks, caught three interceptions and scored a touchdown.
