Hometown signing

Ottawa slotback signs with home OUA team.

Adam Guarisco will be playing in his own backyard at the CIS level.

The 5’10, 160 pound slotback has signed with his hometown team, the Ottawa Gee-Gees for the 2014 OUA season.

Overall, the strengths of both the academic and football programs were the key reasons why Guarisco committed to the Gee-Gees. Moreover, he will be following in family footsteps by virtue of his decision to join the team.

“I chose to sign to Ottawa University because I know there is a great coaching staff there,” said Guarisco.  “Coach (Jamie) Barresi has an extensive knowledge of the game and years of experience coaching at the NCAA Division 1 and CFL level.”

“I also chose to attend Ottawa University because it is a good academic school and I want a good education.”

“My father played at Ottawa University and I want to follow in his footsteps.”

Guarisco joins the Gee-Gees after completing his high school career with the Ashbury Colts of the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA). In five games during the 2013 season, the slotback amassed 587 yards on 30 receptions and scored five touchdowns.
