Huron Heights Warrior joins Waterloo Warriors

Waterloo brings in an Ontario commit.

Michael Strumos, a running back from Huron Heights Secondary School, is ready to help his new team, the University of the Waterloo Warriors, for both present and future gains.

Strumos is planning on using Waterloo’s academic reputation to pursue a kinesiology degree. While he was drawn to the school because of its scholarly prestige, he is also interested in the prospect of the football team. β€œWaterloo is a young team and I look forward to the opportunity to grow with them,” he said.

β€œThe coaches did a great job in making me feel apart of the team and at home. I like their forward thinking and plans for the future of the program,” he added.

The 6’2, 180lbs running back and defensive back is from Mount Albert, Ontario, which is north-east of Newmarket. He played with the Huron Heights Warriors (York Regional Athletics Association). He was a 2016 YRAA all-star.
