Huronia shuts out Bulldogs in Varsity action

The Huronia Stallions played their most complete game of the season versus the home town Brampton Bulldogs on Saturday evening in ontario varsity football league action. Led by a 222 yard rushing performance by Cam Trace, the Stallions took control of the game by dominating the line of scrimmage.

The game started with 2 long Huronia drives which resulted in only three points. One of those drives, Huronia faked a punt but came away with no points after a holding penalty took them outside of field goal range.

Early in the second quarter the Bulldogs #22, Chris States, blocked a stallion punt but interfered with the Huronia player when he attempted to pick the loose ball up; the result of the penalty had Huronia maintain possession.

Huronia’s ball control offense (that only attempted 10 passes) and opportunistic defense (3 interceptions) was the difference in the game and the result was a 28 to 0 shut out of the home team.
