“I really felt comfortable when I was there. I am also very familiar with the team. I have an uncle who played for the team, two of my coaches played and a friend who I grew up just across the street from is a current player. My sister also lives in the city and attends the university. My goal has always been to play CIS football and to be given the opportunity to be a part of the team from my home province, you can’t ask for more than that.”

Long guided the Melfort Comets of the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association (SHSAA) to two Provincial 9-Man Championships.
