Icing on the cake

Jeremy Pike

Cornwall athlete joins AUS team’s 2014 class.

Jeremy Pike gets to realize a childhood dream.

Recently, the 6’0, 170 pound athlete from Cornwall, Ontario signed with the St. Francis Xavier X-Men for the 2014 AUS season.

“I committed to St.FX because I have always been drawn to that school since I was younger,” explained Pike of his decision.  “I always felt like St.FX was similar to my high school; small school with lots of school spirit.”

“It just seemed like the perfect fit and when I got the offer to commit I knew right away I’d be going to St.FX.  When I heard that two of my good childhood friends were committing there also, it was just icing on the cake, those friends being Dylan Bell and Josh Millar.”

This past fall, Pike completed his high school career with Holy Trinity Falcons of the Eastern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (EOSSAA). Additionally, he has suited up for the Cornwall Wildcats of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). With both teams, he played at the quarterback position.
