PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS (Last weeks record 1 & 1 & overall – 8-5)

OVFL

Toronto Thunder vs. Hamilton Ironmen
Rogers Center – Saturday August 20th 7pm

Can any time stop the running attack of the Toronto Thunder. In the semi-final game Jayde Rowe went off for 255 yards on 26 carries…and Chivon Gallagher had 155 yards on 22 carries. Hamilton quarterback Alex Hill had his best game of the season with 282 yards passing with 4 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Pass versus Run. Four down football. Toronto Thunder win on the backs of the best one-two punch in the OVFL varsity division.

Thunder 27 Ironmen 21

PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS (Last weeks record 2-0 & overall – 11-2)

OVFL

Mississauga Warriors vs. Ottawa Myers Riders
Rogers Center – Saturday August 20th 3 pm

Clearly the two best teams in the OVFL junior varsity age division match up this weekend in the final. Myers QB Michael Arruda had an average game (by his standards) in the semi-final game against the Thunder. Stefano Napolitano and Alex Brazeau carried the load, both rushing for over 100 yards. Mississauga running back SN Elad is the most bruising back in the league, a type of back the Riders have yet to face. Trey Ivey will be key in the pass attack and return game for the Warriors. Two great teams = one great game.
