Andrew Foss was a force that could not be tamed this past weekend in Waterloo.
The offensive threat scored two touchdowns to lead the Ottawa Invaders to a 34-0 shutout win over the Tri-City Outlaws in Northern Football Conference (NFC) action.
With the win, the Invaders now move into second place in the East Division, two points behind the league leading Montreal Transit with a 4-2 record. The Transit remained atop the standings after defeating the Durham Hawkeyes 46-20 and improves to 5-1 on the season. Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes remain two points back of the Invaders with a 3-2 record.
A failed onside kick resulted in Ray Alidu returning the ball for a 53 yard touchdown score. Kory Camp and Adam Gourgon also tallied majors for the Invaders.
Foss connected with two different quarterbacks for touchdowns: once with Jeff Hildreth and another with Leith Fisken.
